Woman survives years of abuse, ex-partner jailed for assault, rape, and false imprisonment.
Mary O'Donnell, a woman who was raped and regularly beaten by her partner over several years, says she understands she is "one of the lucky ones" to have survived the relationship. Mark Leonard, her ex-partner, was jailed for 10 years after pleading guilty to seven charges of assault causing harm to O'Donnell. He was also convicted of three charges of rape and false imprisonment by a Central Criminal Court jury.
