BRS leader KT Rama Rao threatens to operate pumps at Kannepally pump house if the Telangana government fails to lift water by Aug 2, accusing them of undermining farmers' interests.
BRS leader KT Rama Rao warns Telangana government that he and 50,000 farmers will operate pumps at Kannepally pump house to lift water if the government fails to do so by August 2. Rama Rao accuses the state government of hatching a criminal conspiracy by not lifting water from the Kaleshwaram project and blaming BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao. The government plans to start pumping water within 2-3 days from the Yellampalli project to fill the network reservoirs of the Kaleshwaram project. Rama Rao alleges that the Congress government in Telangana is undermining farmers' interests by failing to initiate water pumping from Kannepally pump houses of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project due to political vendetta.
