Warframe's upcoming 1999 expansion will introduce a long-awaited romance system, inspired by Baldur's Gate 3's success in implementing one. The team at Digital Extremes has always wanted to add a romance system to Warframe, but lacked an appropriate scenario until Baldur's Gate 3's success demonstrated that players wanted this feature. The 1999 expansion will feature a quest involving character Arthur and is set for release in Winter 2024.
