Construction began on King Abdulaziz Park, a major part of the Green Riyadh initiative, as announced by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. The 4.3 million sqm park, expected to be completed in three years, will feature six botanical zones, including a 200,000 sqm garden with 200 native plant species. Located north of the capital, the park is set to change Riyadh's skyline significantly.
