Saudi Arabia's Roads General Authority expands asphalt surface cooling initiative in holy site areas of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. The initiative, covering 25,000 sqm near Namira Mosque, aims to reduce temperatures in neighborhoods, use less energy to cool buildings, and mitigate climate change impacts. Partners include the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Hajj and Umrah Ministry, and others.
