India has become one of the top 25 arms exporters globally, recording $2.5 billion exports in 2023-24. This achievement marks a shift from being a major importer of arms to a significant exporter, as revealed in the Economic Survey 2023-24. India's defence production has substantially grown from ₹74,054 crore in FY17 to ₹108,684 crore in FY23, boosting exports and encouraging further growth in the industry.
