51% of parents say a summer holiday is beyond their budget, as 700,000 families have never experienced a family holiday, according to a poll by Action for Children. Over a third of parents are worried their children may experience unhealthy nutrition and physical health due to lack of funds, rising to nearly half for those on universal credit. Despite falling inflation and economic growth signs, 32% of parents anticipate being financially worse off than last summer.
