The European Union (EU) has inaugurated new training facilities at the General Dhagabadan Training Centre (GDTC) in Somalia, marking a significant milestone in supporting the Somali National Army (SNA). The EU has provided substantial support to SNA under the European Peace Facility, including vehicles, trucks, combat equipment, and life-saving materials, as well as contributing to the construction of the training facility. With a €110 million commitment to support the SNA, the EU continues its enduring support for Somalia's security sector, enhancing safety and security for all.
