4th-8th century Christian palace discovered in Bahrain, confirming the presence of the Church of the East.

Archaeologists discovered an ancient Christian palace in Bahrain, believed to date back between the mid-4th and mid-8th centuries, providing physical evidence of the Church of the East or Nestorian Church, thriving in the region before the widespread adoption of Islam in the early 7th century. The structure was found beneath a mound in a village cemetery in Samahij and confirmed by radiocarbon dating.
