3 dogs died at PetSmart PetsHotel in Virginia; Animal Welfare League investigating, PetSmart cooperating.
The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is investigating the deaths of three dogs after staying at the PetSmart PetsHotel in Potomac Yard, Virginia. All three dogs fell ill and died within a week of boarding. PetSmart is cooperating with the investigation and is conducting retraining for its associates. The PetSmart PetsHotel is working closely with the Animal Welfare League to determine the cause of the dogs' deaths.
