New Burst Sine Wave Electroporation (B-SWE) technique targets glioblastoma, improving drug access with less cell damage.
New technique, Burst Sine Wave Electroporation (B-SWE), shows promise in targeting glioblastoma, a deadly brain tumor. B-SWE uses sinusoidal waves to disrupt the blood-brain barrier, allowing more cancer-fighting drugs to access the brain, with less damage to cells and tissue compared to conventional square-waveforms. Future studies using animal models will compare B-SWE to the conventional H-FIRE technique.
