Manhattan man, Brian Dowling, 46, died in a two-vehicle crash on US-36 highway in Washington County, KS, on Tuesday. Dowling was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck attempting to pass another vehicle when he failed to return to his lane and collided with a westbound 2023 Peterbilt semi-trailer. Dowling was pronounced dead at Washington County Hospital, and he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The semi-trailer driver, Wayne M Thomsen, 71, was uninjured.
