NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston will dedicate "Building 12" as the "Dorothy Vaughan Center in Honor of the Women of Apollo" on July 19, the eve of Apollo 11's 55th Moon landing anniversary. The renaming and ribbon-cutting ceremony honors mathematician Dorothy Vaughan, NASA's first Black manager, and Apollo women for their crucial roles in the lunar landing program, and their significance to the ongoing Artemis campaign.
