Billionaire John Magnier claims the owners of the 751-acre Barne Estate in Co. Tipperary had the approval of a Jersey trust to sell the property for €15m. Magnier's family alleges they had an agreement with the estate owners, while the owners deny the claim and say they have sold the estate to construction magnate Maurice Regan. The dispute is currently being heard in the Commercial Court.
