Sheriff Huey "Hoss" Mack retires as Baldwin County Sheriff to become Alabama Sheriff's Association director.

Baldwin County Sheriff Huey "Hoss" Mack is retiring to become the director of the Alabama Sheriff's Association. Mack, who has been the county's sheriff since 2007, will leave his post later this summer or early fall. Governor Kay Ivey will appoint his successor following his official retirement. Mack has served in law enforcement since 1989 and has been the county's sheriff since 2007.
