Union warns Edinburgh faces repeat of 2022 bin strikes unless waste and recycling workers receive improved pay offers. GMB Scotland claims no meaningful talks with Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (Cosla) have taken place since May, when the latest pay offer was rejected. The union calls on Cosla to return to the table with an improved offer, or risk bins overflowing during Edinburgh's annual Festival Fringe, when tourists flock to the city.
