El Dorado County Superior Court exonerated a deceased woman, Connie Dahl, who falsely confessed to a 1985 murder. Dahl, who was 19 at the time, had pleaded guilty to manslaughter and spent a year in jail after testifying against co-defendant Ricky Davis. Davis was cleared of all charges in 2020 after DNA evidence proved he was not involved in the murder. Dahl's two adult sons were present during the exoneration.
