32-year-old Indian-origin man, Dasari Gopikrishna, was fatally shot during a robbery at a convenience store in Pleasant Grove, Dallas, Texas. Gopikrishna had arrived in the US just eight months prior to the incident. Consul General D C Manjunath confirmed the incident, which is unrelated to an earlier incident in Arkansas. Gopikrishna's body is being prepared for repatriation to India. He leaves behind his wife and son.
