A man in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for killing his elder brother and attempting to claim a Rs 10 lakh insurance payout. The suspect, Virendra, shot his brother Arvind Kumar, who was a sanitation worker, on July 5. Police investigations revealed that Virendra had an illicit affair with Arvind's wife and needed money to settle his debts. The initial report claimed that someone from outside shot Arvind through a window, but the plan was eventually discovered.
