Both had bounties on their heads totaling Rs 41 lakh. The couple's surrender is considered a significant blow to the Maoist movement in the region. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis praised the police and administration's efforts, stating that no one from Gadchiroli has joined Maoist activities in the last four years.
