Zimbabwean Zanu-PF Councillor Patson Chipunza was arrested for allegedly subdividing and selling part of late former Mines Minister Amos Midzi's farmland. Chipunza reportedly subdivided Subdivision 1 of Earling Farm in Beatrice in Dec 2022 and advertised it for sale, leading to Phillip Chapfunga's purchase of 63 hectares. The fraud was discovered by a co-executor of Midzi's estate, resulting in Chipunza's arrest.
