Zimbabwe Mining Federation president Henrietta Rushwaya arrested for alleged US$1.5m fraud in mining deals.

Zimbabwe Mining Federation president Henrietta Rushwaya was arrested after allegedly defrauding Indian investors US$1.5 million in a mining deal. She is accused of attempting to sell three mines she does not own to Dubai investors. One of the mines reportedly owned by her uncle, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, was sold for US$1 million and another received a US$500,000 deposit. Rushwaya was released on US$500 bail and is due to appear in court on Wednesday.
