Balrampur Hospital in Lucknow becomes India's first district hospital to offer surgical treatment for Trigeminal Neuralgia, also known as the "suicide disease" due to its severe pain. 46-year-old patient Ashok Kumar underwent surgery for Rs 400, with a history of pain since age 40. Trigeminal neuralgia affects 10-12 out of 100,000 people, mostly women, and Bollywood star Salman Khan has had it.
