2 physicians join Port Hardy to address hospital's 18-month closure due to staff shortages.
2 new physicians, Dr. Ramiz S. Alhadi and Dr. Hadi Awad Hmoud, have joined Port Hardy to address the local hospital's overnight closure for 18 months due to staff shortages. Both doctors have been posted to the town as part of a program where physicians serve in rural and remote communities during their initial years of practice in B.C. They will work in the Port Hardy Hospital emergency department.
