A storm system brought ominous clouds, large hail, and power outages to eastern Nebraska, including Omaha, on Wednesday night. The severe weather caused damage with hail the size of golf balls and up to 60 mph wind gusts. Over 700 Omaha Public Power District customers were left without power, and multiple counties in Nebraska and Iowa were under severe thunderstorm warning until 9:45 pm.
