The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Gillian Filyaw and other Nebraskans who lost Medicaid coverage after pandemic-era protections ended. The nonprofit claims more than 22,000 enrollees received termination notices with the same "income exceeds standards" reason without adequate explanation, causing unconstitutional deprivation of due process rights.
