Paden City High School in West Virginia relocates due to groundwater contamination from dry cleaning solvent.

A small West Virginia school, Paden City High School, will relocate this fall due to groundwater contamination from dry cleaning solvent. Groundwater containing the solvent tetrachloroethylene, at levels above federal limits, was added to the national cleanup priority list in March 2022. The school's students, faculty, and staff will relocate to existing schools in nearby New Martinsville, ensuring a safe learning environment.
