San Diego commenced a $100M, 20-year project to redevelop Brown Field Municipal Airport, with the first phase expected to finish by end-2025. Developed by San Diego Airpark, the project aims to create 2,500 new jobs and have a $1.5B economic impact on the region. The Federal Aviation Administration will provide $14.8M for airfield infrastructure and security needs over the next five years.
