Ohio nonprofit LifeWise Academy, which offers off-campus Bible classes for public school students, will triple its programs in Indiana this fall due to new legislation. Critics argue that these programs use public school resources for religious purposes, proselytize students of other faiths, and may contribute to Indiana's literacy issues. LifeWise Academy founder and CEO, Joel Penton, believes that many parents want religious instruction to be part of their children's education.
