Northeast Ohio parents express concerns over school districts allowing students to attend off-site Bible classes during school hours, as LifeWise Academy, a Christian nonprofit, opens chapters across the state. The academy offers religious instruction during "free periods" or non-graded blocks of time. While founder Joel Penton says the program has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, several parents have expressed concerns at board meetings.
