Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey settled a lawsuit against the City of Belle for violating the Sunshine Law. The city admitted to five counts of violation, including inadequate notice, incorrect meeting minutes, discussing off-agenda items, and improper closed sessions. As part of the agreement, Belle will pay a $500 fee, which the state will give to Maries County Public Schools, and will abide by a compliance plan.
