Governor Brad Little signed the "Promoting Families and Protecting Children Act" (Executive Order 2024-05) to strengthen Idaho's foster care and child welfare system. The order directs the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to build stronger partnerships, reduce barriers to adoption, increase foster families, and promote early intervention. The goal is to better serve mothers, babies, and at-risk youth while making families central to decision-making processes.
