UK retailers led by Bira sue Amazon for £1.1bn, alleging data misuse and market manipulation.

UK retailers, led by the British Independent Retailers Association (Bira), are suing Amazon for up to £1.1bn, accusing the tech giant of misusing their data to push them out of the market and inflate its own profits. The claim alleges that Amazon's UK marketplace illegally used data from competing sellers to sell rival products at lower prices and manipulated the "buy box" system to favor its own products. If successful, the retailers could be awarded up to £1.1bn in damages.
