Geismar Volunteer Fire Department's Captain Arrington Beasley passed away after a battle with leukemia. The 31-year-old had been fighting the cancer and symptoms. A benefit plate lunch and raffle were previously planned for June 22 to help with medical and funeral expenses, and all proceeds will go to the Beasley family. The community mourns the loss of Beasley, who will be dearly missed by all.
