WA government invests $2M in regional newspapers to keep them afloat. $1M in 2023 and $1M in 2024-2025 will be used to purchase regular ads in regional and outer-metro titles, including 19 Seven West Media titles and 10 independent/Australian Community Media operations. This funding aims to address the challenges of shrinking marketing budgets and rising printing costs faced by smaller news outlets.
