A new poll reveals overwhelming support in NSW for proposed industrial manslaughter laws that could see employers face a 25-year jail term if found guilty. The laws aim to hold businesses and individuals accountable for deaths caused by negligent or reckless behaviour in the workplace. Support is particularly strong in regional and rural areas of the state. In 2022, 51 workers died in NSW, the highest figure nationally.
