Charlestown Azzurri player Corey Edwards, who collapsed after a head clash during a football match, is recovering from an induced coma. Edwards was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where he had surgery for a brain bleed. Azzurri secretary Roger Steel and football director Roby Valentinis visited him, reporting that he is now out of the coma and is expected to be moved out of intensive care into general wards within a few days.
