Myanmar plans to import 1.6 million tons of fertilizer in FY 2024-2025, according to the state-run Global New Light of Myanmar. The Steering Committee for Purchasing and Distribution of Urea Fertilizer will base its decision on the actual import volume in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, recommending additional imports as needed. The country imported 1.047 million tons of fertilizers in the 2023-24 fiscal year.
