UK Public Accounts Committee finds Home Office lacks credible plan for Rwanda asylum scheme.
The UK's Public Accounts Committee has concluded that the Home Office "does not have a credible plan" for sending asylum seekers to Rwanda. The cross-party group of MPs stated it has "little confidence" in the Home Office's ability to implement the Rwanda plan, which Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has previously proposed as a solution to stop the flow of asylum seekers arriving in the UK. The Home Office has spent millions on the Rwanda scheme and related accommodation facilities, but the PAC report states that there is "little to show for the money spent so far."
