Alberta Sheriffs shut down a drug-linked property in Calgary for 63 days due to numerous police visits and complaints. The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit, responsible for enforcing community safety orders, terminated the property owner's lease, boarded up the premises, and changed locks. The SCAN unit has investigated over 9,000 properties since 2008 and granted 119 community safety orders.
