Louisiana State Police have acknowledged a defect in 2026 Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI) stickers, issued from January 1, 2024, which may fade from yellow to clear or white after sun exposure. Despite the fading, the stickers remain valid, and no action is required from vehicle owners. The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles is replacing the unissued inventory of affected stickers.
