Dhaka court orders property attachment and bank account freezing of ex-IGP Benazir Ahmed over corruption allegations.

A Dhaka court has ordered the attachment of properties of ex-Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed and the freezing of his bank accounts over corruption allegations. The court order follows an Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) plea after allegations of corruption surfaced against the former police chief. The ACC formed a committee last month to look into the allegations of possession of assets beyond means against Benazir.
