Energy bills for British Gas, OVO, Octopus, EDF, and Eon customers will "remain high and volatile" for the foreseeable future, according to Ofgem. The energy regulator warned of increasing levels of customer bad debt, which has risen by over 50% in the last 12 months. Ofgem's chief executive, Jonathan Brearley, said energy prices are expected to stay high and unpredictable in the coming months.
