Israeli PM Netanyahu opposes European recognition of a Palestinian state as "reward for terrorism".

Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu has criticised the decision of Norway, Ireland and Spain to recognise an independent Palestinian state, calling it a "reward for terrorism". Netanyahu warned that such recognition would lead to the creation of a "terrorist state", and said it would be a mistake to reward terrorism with statehood. The three European countries announced their decision to recognise an independent Palestinian state on May 23rd.
