University of Newcastle develops 1000L/day water harvester from air, funded by Australia's Future Drought Fund.

The University of Newcastle has developed a hydro harvester technology capable of producing 1000 litres of drinkable water daily from air. Funded by Australia's Future Drought Fund, the innovative system uses solar energy or waste heat to create hot, humid air which is then cooled, extracting water for drinking or irrigation. The 1000-litre harvester is near market readiness and can supply enough drinking water for a small rural community or up to 400 people.
