An alleged scooter thief was caught on the North Shore busway in Auckland after police monitored CCTV footage at Albany Bus Station. The suspect attempted to steal an e-scooter secured with a high-quality lock but failed. Police alerted the Auckland Transport Operations Centre (ATOC) which tracked the man from the bike racks to a bus, and he was later caught at the Constellation station.
