A suspected bike thief, apprehended after a police chase, attempted to escape from an ambulance where he was being treated for injuries. Dashcam footage captured the moment he ran out of the ambulance and was tackled to the ground by a traffic officer, who was then assisted by three additional officers to handcuff the suspect, who was later arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft, drug possession, and carrying an offensive weapon. The incident occurred in Rochdale on May 9th.
