Windsor Castle ends 200-year local free entry tradition, introduces visitor fees for residents from June 1.

Windsor Castle, a popular tourist destination, will end a 200-year tradition of free entry for local residents, introducing visitor fees from June 1. Residents have criticized the move as "wrong and misjudged," arguing they deserve something back for dealing with tourists all year round. The Royal Collection Trust, which runs the castle, said the pricing is "in line with other businesses in the borough."
