Gardaí in Ireland plan to deploy an undercover HGV "supercab" to catch distracted drivers. The initiative is one of several being rolled out by An Garda Síochána in an attempt to lower road fatalities, which are currently at their highest in a decade. The HGV cab, operated by the Roads Policing Unit, will enable Gardaí to see into cars to check for mobile phone use, lack of seat belts, or other signs of distracted driving.
