33-year-old Canadian man charged with attempting to open an aircraft emergency exit door during a flight from Vancouver to Sydney on May 14, 2024. Allegedly intoxicated, the man was noticed by another passenger and moved to the rear of the aircraft. Australian Federal Police arrested him at Sydney Airport and charged him with threatening the safety of the aircraft. The man appeared in Downing Centre Local Court on May 20, 2024.
